HOW TO GET HERE FROM THEREQuatsino Lodge is easy to find. Google Map us and you’ll get your basic idea...but don’t try to drive to Quatsino even if Google says you can. You will need to take a boat before you can fully arrive.
Option #1. Flying from Vancouver into Port Hardy via Pacific Coastal Airlines -you let us know your schedule and we’ll have the airport shuttle service there to meet and greet you. They’ll bring you to Coal Harbour where we’ll meet you by boat and bring you to the lodge.
Option #2. If you live in any other part of Canada I recommend taking WestJet to Comox and rent a car there. It is a short drive (about 3.5 hours). The drive is lovely with a great chance to spot elk, deer and bear along the way. If you are driving, look for the wooden three bears sign that welcomes you to Port Hardy. Then take the next left on Coal Harbour Road. It’s 15 minutes to the government wharf and we'll find you there.
Option #3. If you have the time and are driving, then the Nanaimo ferry is your ticket. It is a 4.5 hour drive from Nanaimo to Coal Harbour.
Option #4. For the adventurous the local company AIRCAB will pick up folks in Comox or Campbell River and float plane them right to the dock. Let us know if you want more details on this unique opportunity. It is really something else to see Quatsino Sound by float plane.

Option #5. Why not get a driver. Kevin East of Ambassador Shuttle Service out of Comox offers a very personalized and amazingly affordable shuttle service from Comox to Coal Harbour and he’ll come back and get you too. Here are a couple numbers for Kevin.

First I would like to thank you for an amazing experience. Both Geoff and I enjoyed the whole experience. No need to say that Geoff's fisherman's stories are growing by the day. Not least about the one which got away. I do not think his arms will be long enough soon. Ha!Ha!
Again, your service was great, your knowledge fantastic and though we were novices you never let on you had had the questions before. On top of that I put on weight. So all in all a great holiday.
Compliments to your staff, who were all lovely young people.
Regards, Gitte B
