Blondy

Your hostess and Lodge Manager, Blondy is on hand to look after every aspect of the day to day operation of the lodge. From the moment you speak to Blondy to discuss or confirm your booking you will know you are in capable hands and by the time she greets you on the dock on your arrival you will feel like part of the family.
A certified guide with the Sea Kayak Guides Alliance of BC, Blondy heads up the Kayaking, her enthusiasm and love for geology, marine life and local history ensures memorable and informative paddles.

Samantha Schoenfelder

Samantha has also grown up fishing and in the outdoors. She has grown into a hostess unparalleled and frequently takes over the running of the lodge when Blondy is away or at school. Sam has the nicest smile and makes everyone feel warm and welcome.

She spent her winter in New Zealand and Australia, narrowly missing the Christchurch earthquake ... by 24 hours. She spent most of her time there scuba diving and hiking. Now she is just saving her pennies to get back there.

Forrest Picher

Forrest Picher is back for his second year at the lodge. He is the right hand man in the kitchen and also can be counted on to do just about anything requested of him. Except he doesnʼt like to kill crab ... but he has no problems cleaning it and eating it! Forrest is looking forward to meeting you and picking your brains on any topic youʼd care to chat about.

Dani

Dani joined us late this summer and has been a fantastic addition to our staff.  She is our sushi chef extraordinaire and we are looking forward to many summers of her creations.  Dani works in the kitchen, does housekeeping, serves dinner when Sam is busy in the fish hut, and generally makes herself useful wherever and whenever she is needed.  She does seemto be rather tasty to the general bug population though.  12 bites on one arm is quite a few!  We are really pleased  to welcome Dani to our family here at the lodge.

Tristan

Tristan will be joining the lodge this coming summer as our dock manager and general dogs body.  Tristan has been fishing for years.  He started fishing for salmon off his family sailboat when he was just a young lad and continues his passion for fishing in the rivers.  He is currently taking aquaculture at VIU and is looking forward to a great summer taking care of your fish.

I just want to thank you for the great time we had at the Quatsino Lodge. You are truly great hosts. Please thank Terry, Sarah, Ian, Keith and all the staff for making us feel at home. I know Bill was a bit of a curmudgeon at times, but deep down, he really treasured the trip. He wouldn't have been able to handle the open boats from the old days.

I'd like to especially thank Sarah for guiding us up to the Marble river. It was truly beautiful. And, thanks to Terry for riding through Bill's complaining.
